Die künstlerische Praxis von Artemis Tsakiri bewegt sich zwischen Fotografie, Druckgrafik, Zeichnung und sozialer Skulptur. Im Zentrum stehen Fragen nach Identität, dem Unterbewusstsein und den Veränderungen des kollektiven Erlebens. Ihre Arbeiten schaffen Räume der Begegnung und des gemeinsamen Nachdenkens, in denen individuelle Erinnerung auf kollektive Erfahrung trifft und neue Formen des Zusammenlebens jenseits gesellschaftlicher Grenzen entstehen können.

Im Rahmen von „The Open Time Capsule“ präsentiert sie ECHOS DER STILLE, eine Serie von Arbeiten in der Technik der Fotogravur.

Die Serie begreift den Traum als eine raumzeitliche Kapsel – als einen inneren Ort, an dem die Zeit nicht mehr linear verläuft. In einem kurzen Augenblick verdichtet der Traum Erinnerungen, Gefühle und Fragmente des Unterbewusstseins. Vergangenheit und Gegenwart begegnen und überlagern sich; sie kehren verwandelt zurück, manchmal klar, manchmal nur bruchstückhaft.

In dieser Beweglichkeit wird der Traum zu einer persönlichen Zeitkapsel: zu einem Raum, in dem das Verlorene, Verschobene oder Vergessene in einer anderen Form wiederkehren kann.

ECHOS DER STILLE verbindet sich mit Fragen von Identität, Migration und Bewegung, sowohl als gelebte Erfahrung als auch als innerer Weg. Bewegung wird zu einem Zustand des Übergangs: zu einem Raum der Ungewissheit, aber auch der Möglichkeit, in dem das Vertraute zurücktritt und das Unbekannte Raum für ein neues Verständnis des Selbst eröffnet.

In diesem Prozess erscheint Identität nicht als etwas Feststehendes, sondern als etwas, das sich fortwährend bildet, verhandelt und neu bestimmt.

Artemis Tsakiri’s artistic practice moves between photography, printmaking, drawing and social sculpture. At its core are questions of identity, the subconscious, and the transformations of collective experience. Her works create spaces for encounter and reflection, where individual memory meets collective experience and new forms of coexistence can emerge beyond social boundaries.

As part of “The Open Time Capsule”, she presents the series ECHOS DER STILLE, created through the technique of photogravure.

The series approaches the dream as a spatiotemporal capsule, an inner space where time no longer follows a linear path. Within a brief moment, the dream condenses memories, emotions and fragments of the subconscious. Past and present meet and overlap; they return transformed, sometimes with clarity, sometimes only as fragmented images.

Within this fluidity, the dream becomes a personal time capsule: a space where what has been lost, displaced or forgotten can return in another form.

ECHOS DER STILLE engages with questions of identity, migration and movement, both as lived experience and as an inner journey. Movement becomes a state of transition, a space of uncertainty, but also of possibility, where the familiar recedes and the unknown opens a space for a new understanding of the self. Through this process, identity does not appear as something fixed or given, but as something continuously shaped, renegotiated and redefined.
